BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s National Thai Massage and Wellness Expo generated more than 75.4 million baht in economic activity during its three-day run from August 20-22, highlighting the country’s growing wellness industry and the international potential of Thai traditional health wisdom.
Ploythale Laksameesangchan, Deputy Government Spokesperson, said the event, held under the theme “Honoring Thai Wisdom, Expanding the New Economy, Advancing to the Global Stage,” attracted large numbers of members of the public, entrepreneurs, investors and health and wellness professionals from Thailand and abroad.
More than 100 businesses participated in the expo, while strong visitor interest generated significant opportunities for business negotiations. The 75.4 million baht in spending and business activity recorded during the event reflected the growing strength of Thailand’s health and wellness sector.
The government said the results demonstrate the potential of Thai traditional knowledge to expand into international markets and reinforce Thailand’s ambitions to become a global wellness hub.
Thailand will further strengthen its international wellness profile when Phuket hosts the Global Wellness Summit 2026 from November 10-13. The event is expected to reinforce Thailand’s position as a leading global wellness destination and a potential hub for attracting high-quality international investment. The government said it will continue promoting the National Thai Massage and Wellness Expo and related initiatives to strengthen Thailand’s leadership in the global health and wellness industry.
