PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya has begun work to improve Second Road, with construction covering key sections from the Wat Chai intersection through Central Pattaya and onward to the Dolphin Roundabout. The work marks the start of a major road improvement project along one of Pattaya’s busiest traffic routes, with crews now moving into the area to begin construction. Motorists are being warned to expect traffic congestion, lane restrictions and delays as work progresses. Drivers using Second Road are advised to slow down, follow traffic signs and allow extra time for their journeys.
The project is expected to take around 90 days to complete, meaning traffic disruption could continue for several months while the improvements are carried out. Pattaya City is asking motorists and the public to cooperate with traffic-management measures and consider alternative routes when possible, particularly during peak hours.
The roadwork covers the section from the Wat Chai intersection to the Central Pattaya Second Road intersection, as well as the stretch from Central Pattaya Second Road towards the Dolphin Roundabout, improving an important north-south route through the city. Officials say the work is intended to improve the condition and usability of the road while supporting smoother traffic movement once construction is completed.
