BANGKOK, Thailand – THAI Cargo has temporarily suspended the acceptance of inbound and outbound cargo at Thai Airways’ cargo warehouse from September 30 to October 6 after flooding disrupted staff travel and left the operation short of workers.
Thai Airways said flooding in several areas has made it difficult for employees to reach the cargo facility, reducing available manpower below the level needed for normal operations.
The disruption has affected both cargo deliveries to customers and the movement of shipments onto scheduled flights, resulting in a significant backlog of cargo at the warehouse.
The temporary suspension is intended to control the workload in line with available staff and resources while maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations. Thai Airways said the measure is temporary and will allow staff to clear the accumulated cargo and restore normal warehouse services as soon as possible. The airline apologized to customers and users for the inconvenience and disruption caused by the flooding and asked for cooperation while the situation is being managed.
