Foreign tourist left stranded on Burapha Withi Expressway

A public transport vehicle reportedly dropped off a foreign passenger on the Burapha Withi Expressway at around 10:13 a.m. on August 14.

BANGKOK, Thailand – A foreign tourist was left stranded on the Burapha Withi Expressway in Samut Prakan on August 14 after a public transport vehicle reportedly dropped the passenger off on the expressway. The incident was reported at approximately 10:13 a.m. at kilometre marker 3+600A on the outbound carriageway towards Chonburi.

Burapha Withi Expressway officials notified traffic authorities and coordinated with officers from the Royal Project Traffic Police to investigate and assist the stranded passenger. Police located the foreigner on the expressway and safely escorted the passenger down to the area below the elevated roadway at approximately 10:30 a.m. Authorities did not immediately provide details about the public transport vehicle or why the passenger was left on the expressway.
