PATHUM THANI, Thailand – Deputy Interior Minister Jeseth Thaiseth has directed the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) to expedite the return of normal water service in Rangsit and Lam Luk Ka districts, Pathum Thani province, after a technical problem during pipeline work caused low pressure and outages in some areas. Jeseth visited the area on August 13 after problems occurred while crews were connecting a 1,200-millimeter HDPE water transmission pipeline near Khlong 3 in Thanyaburi district. He instructed the PWA to prioritize rapid repairs, keep residents clearly informed, and deploy water trucks wherever needed. Future maintenance and pipeline work should also be scheduled carefully to reduce disruption, especially during public holidays and periods of high water demand.
PWA Governor Jakrapong Kamchan issued an apology to affected residents and reported that repairs were completed, with water reintroduced into the distribution system at midnight on August 12. Crews have since been replenishing the network and gradually raising water pressure as service returns to normal. Water trucks continue to serve affected communities, while the PWA can coordinate with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, municipalities, and other agencies if additional assistance is needed. PWA personnel will continue to manage water pressure and monitor the network until service is fully restored across the affected area.
