PATTAYA, Thailand – A routine drive turned into a frightening experience after a huge snake measuring around four meters was discovered inside a car in Soi Wat Boon 3 on Friday night.
At around 10:04 p.m. on August 8, Pattaya City Fire Station’s Jomtien unit dispatched Inspection Vehicle 410 and a wildlife response team after receiving a report of a snake hiding inside a vehicle.
The unusually large reptile had managed to find its way into the car, prompting the occupants to call for professional assistance rather than attempting to remove it themselves. Firefighters carefully searched the vehicle and worked to safely capture the snake.
The incident once again highlights the unexpected encounters with wildlife that can occur in Pattaya, particularly during the rainy season when snakes may seek shelter in warm, enclosed spaces.
Officials reminded residents not to approach or attempt to catch large snakes themselves. Anyone finding a snake inside a vehicle, home or business should contact Pattaya City emergency services on 1337 or the Jomtien Fire Station at 095-146-4221.
