BANGKOK, Thailand – Don Mueang Tourist Police assisted a British traveler who was found distressed at Don Mueang Airport after losing contact with her family and struggling to arrange her return home. At around 5:00 a.m. on August 1, airport security staff alerted Tourist Police after finding Miss Robbins sitting and crying near Gate 6 on the first floor of Don Mueang Airport.
Officers learned that she had arrived in Thailand on July 27 with two friends and had been staying at Moca Hotel on Song Prapha Road, Don Mueang. Following an argument with her friends, she decided to return to the United Kingdom but had no mobile phone, leaving her unable to contact relatives or arrange assistance.
Unable to reach anyone, she left the hotel and went to Don Mueang Airport to seek help. Don Mueang Tourist Police assisted her in contacting the hotel to retrieve her passport and luggage. Officers then contacted her sister, Miss Isabelle, in the United Kingdom, who confirmed she was arranging a new flight ticket for her sister’s return. After the arrangements were completed, Tourist Police officers escorted and assisted the traveler with transport by bus to Suvarnabhumi Airport, where she continued her journey back to the UK.
