PATTAYA, Thailand – Police are searching for two Russian siblings who have been missing for three days after leaving their home in the Pattaya area, with CCTV footage showing a suspected motorcycle allegedly following them shortly before they disappeared. The missing siblings have been identified as Diana Nazimova, 22, and Roman Nazimov, 17, Russian nationals and brother and sister, who live with their mother in Huai Yai, East Pattaya.
The pair left their home in Moo 7, Huai Yai, at around 4 a.m. on July 26 on a motorcycle, reportedly heading to a nearby convenience store. They failed to return home, prompting their mother to report them missing to Huai Yai Police Station. Police are now investigating the disappearance and examining CCTV footage from the area, which reportedly showed another motorcycle travelling behind the siblings’ bike shortly after they left home.
The search entered its third day on July 28, when investigators questioned their mother, Sarina, 40, for additional details. Sarina told police through an interpreter that she is a single mother who has lived in Thailand since 2018. She later brought her two children to live with her in 2021, and both are currently studying at a school in Pattaya. She said her children do not speak Thai and mainly communicate in Russian and English. According to the mother, the siblings left home wearing casual clothes and carrying their mobile phones. She believed they were simply going to buy something from a convenience store before disappearing.
Sarina said she was extremely worried and appealed for help, saying she hopes her children are safe and will return home soon. The case became more concerning after Diana sent a final message marked “URGENT”, saying she felt someone was following them. She also reportedly received a phone notification warning that an unknown Bluetooth tracker had been detected nearby.
After that message, both phones were switched off and the siblings could no longer be contacted.
Police are continuing to investigate all possible leads and have asked anyone with information about the missing siblings or their whereabouts to contact Huai Yai Police Station (038-110-333) , which is handling the case.
