YASOTHON, Thailand – A teenage student in a full ghost costume gave rescue workers an unexpected surprise after they arrived to provide medical assistance during a school event in Yasothon province. The unusual incident happened at Kut Chum Wittayakom School where a 16-year-old female student experienced severe stomach pain and required medical attention. Rescue worker Nattawat, from the Huk 31 Rescue Foundation shared photos and the story online after the team responded to the emergency call.
When rescuers arrived, they found the student conscious and able to communicate. The team provided initial first aid before carefully transporting her to a hospital for further treatment. However, the scene quickly attracted attention when rescuers realized the student was dressed as a “Phi Ka” ghost character as part of a Thai Language Day activity at the school.
The student’s realistic costume caused some initial surprise, with many people at the hospital reacting with excitement when she arrived in the unusual outfit. Photos of the incident spread online, with many social media users praising the student’s dedication to her performance while also thanking the rescue team for their quick response.
