Two-meter python creates panic before dramatic capture in Pattaya

Fire rescue officers in Pattaya safely capture a 2-meter python at the Khao Talo community office area behind Mega Home, bringing the situation under control without incident.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Fire rescue officers in Pattaya safely captured a mature python after it was spotted near a community area in South Pattaya, authorities said. At around 09:45 a.m. on June 19, a rescue unit from the Pattaya City Fire Station (Jomtien zone), vehicle 410, along with three officers, responded to a report of a snake at the Khao Talo community office area located behind Mega Home shopping center along Sukhumvit Road. Upon arrival, officers conducted a search and located the python hiding in the area before safely capturing it without any injuries or damage reported.



Authorities confirmed the reptile was approximately 2 meters in length. The operation was carried out smoothly, and the area was declared safe after the snake was removed. Residents were advised to remain cautious, particularly during rainy conditions when snakes may enter residential or community spaces in search of shelter.
