PATTAYA, Thailand – Authorities in Pattaya provided assistance to a South Korean man after he reported losing his wallet, identification documents, and personal belongings, leaving him unable to continue his travel or daily arrangements. On June 19 at around 12:20 p.m., officers on duty in the Jomtien Beach area responded after the man was found sitting in front of a convenience store near Soi Grand Palace Hotel.

Upon speaking with him, officers noted that he was able to communicate only limited Thai. He explained that all of his essential belongings, including his wallet and important documents, had gone missing, causing him significant difficulty in continuing his travel. Preliminary information indicated that he had previously been staying in the Thonglor area of Bangkok before encountering the situation that led him to seek help in Pattaya.

Officers provided immediate assistance and ensured his safety before coordinating with relevant agencies. They are also in the process of contacting the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand to help verify his identity and arrange appropriate support. Authorities said the man has been closely monitored and cared for while waiting for embassy coordination, emphasizing humanitarian assistance and prevention of any further risk. Officials added that the case reflects ongoing cooperation in Pattaya’s tourism areas, where authorities continue to assist both Thai and foreign visitors in distress in order to maintain safety and confidence in the city’s tourism image.
