NAKHON SAWAN, Thailand – A 34-year-old 7-Eleven store manager was killed in a late-night shooting inside her workplace in Nakhon Sawan after a man who had allegedly been pursuing her opened fire before fatally shooting himself, police said. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on June 14 at a 7-Eleven store in Ban Kaeng subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Sawan district. Police, forensic officers, and rescue workers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire.

Officers found the bodies of a 45-year-old man and the female store manager lying inside the store. Both had suffered gunshot wounds to the head, while the woman was also found with a gunshot wound to her shoulder. A 9mm semi-automatic handgun was recovered near the man’s body. According to investigators, CCTV footage showed the victim arranging products in the store when the man entered and spoke with her for several minutes. Police believe he then drew a handgun and shot the woman before turning the weapon on himself. Both died at the scene.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the man, who was married and reportedly the son-in-law of a local garage owner, had been attempting to pursue the store manager for some time. Police said he had contacted her through social media and frequently visited the store, but his advances were not reciprocated. The woman was reportedly already in a relationship. Investigators also learned that the suspect had been drinking at a restaurant earlier that evening before arriving at the store. Police are continuing to interview witnesses and review evidence as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the shooting, which has shocked residents and employees in the local community.
