PATTAYA, Thailand – Candidates from the “We Love Pattaya” team contesting Pattaya City Council seats in Constituency 3 visited businesses and residents along Soi Yodsak (Soi 6) on June 13, gathering feedback on the economic challenges facing the city during the current low tourism season. The outreach effort brought candidates face-to-face with operators from a wide range of businesses, including beer bars, massage shops, beach umbrella and sunbed vendors, restaurants, beauty salons, and retail stores. Many shared concerns about declining customer numbers, reduced income, and the broader economic pressures affecting tourism-dependent livelihoods.

During the visit, business owners and residents highlighted issues they believe should be addressed by the next city administration, including economic recovery, tourism promotion, public safety, cleanliness, and the management of public spaces. Participants said these factors directly impact both quality of life for residents and visitor confidence in Pattaya as a tourist destination. Candidates said the feedback collected from local businesses and residents would be used to help shape policies and guide future efforts to address community concerns and support economic growth. The visit took place in an informal atmosphere, allowing business operators to openly discuss the challenges they are facing during the low season. Candidates also encouraged eligible voters to participate in the upcoming Pattaya mayoral and city council elections on June 28, emphasizing the importance of public involvement in shaping the city’s future development.
