PATTAYA, Thailand – As the weekend travel rush gets underway in Pattaya, Tourist Police on May 9 assisted visitors boarding boats to Koh Larn by ensuring they properly wore life jackets before departure. Officers also provided safety briefings, reminding tourists of the importance of wearing life jackets during sea travel, particularly as increased weekend demand continues for island trips.
With stormy weather and scattered thunderstorms affecting the area, authorities stepped up safety checks amid rougher sea conditions to reduce risks for passengers travelling between Pattaya and nearby islands.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen maritime safety and boost confidence among both domestic and international tourists. For emergency assistance, tourists can contact the Tourist Police hotline at 1155 or use the Thailand Tourist Police Application (TPB APP) and POLICE CARE Application for immediate support.
