STOCKHOLM, Sweden – On the evening of April 30, King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida traveled by royal motorcade from the Grand Hôtel Stockholm to the Royal Palace in Stockholm to attend a formal state banquet hosted in honor of King Carl XVI Gustaf.

The event marked the Swedish monarch’s 80th birthday, with King Carl XVI Gustaf serving as host to distinguished royal guests and dignitaries from around the world. The occasion drew significant attention from international media and the public.

For the formal evening, King Maha Vajiralongkorn wore full White Tie attire, the highest level of formal dress for state ceremonies. Queen Suthida appeared in an elegant floor-length evening gown, complemented by a royal tiara and the Chakri sash, symbolizing royal honor and prestige.

The banquet formed part of a series of grand celebrations held in Sweden to commemorate the milestone birthday of the long-reigning monarch.
