Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow says Thailand is exploring potential fuel imports from Oman following discussions on crude oil, gas, and fertilizer cooperation. The talks also included diplomatic coordination and possible support in communications with Iran.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow has revealed that Thailand is exploring options to secure fuel supplies from Oman in the event of an urgent need, following talks with Oman’s Minister of Energy and Minerals.

Discussions covered potential trade in crude oil and natural gas, with Oman indicating it could supply fuel when production exceeds domestic demand. Any arrangement would depend on further negotiations over supply volumes and pricing.

Sihasak said the talks also included the possible purchase of fertilizers from Oman and the expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The deputy prime minister added that a separate meeting with Oman’s foreign minister would address diplomatic coordination, with Thailand seeking Oman’s assistance in communicating with Iran through available channels. (NNT)
