BANGKOK, Thailand – Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt and Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), presided over the opening ceremony of the “Grand Line in Thailand” event at Lumphini Park on March 8, 2026. The event marks the release of the latest One Piece live-action installment on Netflix, One Piece: Into the Grand Line.

Organized by TAT, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Netflix, the event is part of a tourism initiative that leverages event marketing and global pop culture to create new travel experiences in Thailand. It aims to attract younger travelers and international fans while enhancing the country’s global tourism profile.

For the event, Lumphini Park has been transformed into the legendary “Grand Line” from One Piece, offering visitors immersive activities and themed attractions inspired by the series.

A main highlight is the Pirate Pedal Boat activity, where visitors can ride themed boats, including the iconic Going Merry and a Marine warship, as they sail across the park’s lake to encounter the legendary whale Laboon.

The event also features special photo zones, including LUFFY WEFIE, where visitors can take wide-angle selfies with Monkey D. Luffy, and the Chopper Meeting Point, inspired by Tony Tony Chopper.

“Grand Line in Thailand” runs from March 8 to 15, 2026, at Lumphini Park. The event is open to the public free of charge from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (NNT)
