Thai Airways ushers in a new era with upgraded aircraft, luxurious services, and a fresh in-flight experience as it prepares to return to the stock market.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai Airways is preparing to re-enter the stock market in the third quarter of this year, following over three years of restructuring. This marks a positive sign for the national airline, which has been a staple for Thai people for more than half a century.

To celebrate the “New Era” and its 65th anniversary, Thai Airways is enhancing its passenger experience with significant upgrades under the theme ‘The New Worlds of Tomorrow.’ These improvements range from a new fleet of aircraft to an updated in-flight magazine. Here are the highlights of what’s coming:

New Airbus A321 Neo Aircraft

By the end of 2025, Thai Airways will add the Airbus A321 Neo to its fleet, the largest narrow-body aircraft in the A320 family. The new aircraft will be quieter (50% reduction in noise), improve air circulation, and be 15-20% more fuel-efficient. It is ideal for short- to medium-haul routes such as those to Singapore, Hong Kong, or selected destinations in China and Japan.

New Business Class Seats by Thompson Aero Seating

Thai Airways is introducing the Thompson Vantage seats in its Royal Silk Class (Business Class), designed by Thompson Aero Seating, a renowned global leader in aircraft seating. The fully flatbed seats, with a 180-degree recline, will feature large screens (15.6-17 inches), and multiple charging ports (USB-C, USB-A, and Universal AC Outlets). The seating layout will alternate between 2-2 and 1-1 configurations, providing more space, especially in the front rows, which resemble a Premium Business Class. Additionally, passengers will enjoy caviar from Caviar Giaveri and exclusive specialty drinks.

Economy Class: Stylish & Comfortable

For Economy Class, Thai Airways is adopting the latest Recaro R3 CL3810 seats, which are lightweight and slim for more legroom and comfort. The seats are designed to support various body types and offer six adjustable headrest positions. Each seat will also feature a 13.3-inch TV, a tablet holder, and USB charging ports.

Free Wi-Fi for Royal Orchid Plus Members

Passengers flying on the new A321 Neo aircraft who are members of Royal Orchid Plus can enjoy free Wi-Fi during their flights, depending on their membership level. This benefit extends to Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class passengers as well.

Special Amenities Kit by SIRIVANNAVARI

Starting in May, passengers traveling on Royal Silk Class to Milan, Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai will receive a limited-edition amenities kit created in collaboration with SIRIVANNAVARI. The kit includes a batik-patterned bag, rose-scented hand cream, lip balm, deodorant spray with Thai-inspired scents, an eye mask matching the bag design, a bamboo toothbrush, MARVIS toothpaste, and noise-cancelling earplugs.

From a new fleet of Airbus A321 Neos to revamped business class seats and exclusive amenities, Thai Airways is redefining travel in its 65th year.

Revamped ‘Sawasdee’ In-flight Magazine

The ‘Sawasdee’ magazine, Thai Airways’ in-flight publication, will return in a multi-format version, including printed editions, e-magazines, and a dedicated Sawasdee Online website, catering to the digital-savvy traveler.

‘Street to Sky’ Campaign: Thai Street Food in the Air

The airline will launch its ‘Street to Sky’ campaign, bringing popular Thai street food onboard. Signature dishes from renowned Thai eateries, such as Pad Thai with shrimp, Seafood Stir-fried Noodles from Jay Fai, and Delicious Chicken Rice, will be served to enhance the in-flight dining experience.

Thai Airways is setting new standards for travel comfort and luxury, ushering in an exciting chapter as it marks its 65th anniversary.
