PATTAYA, Thailand – Police raided an illegal gambling den and arrested five individuals caught playing hi-lo (a traditional Thai dice game) in Soi Bongkot, South Pattaya.
Authorities seized gambling paraphernalia including three dice, one score sheet, a bowl with lid used for shaking the dice, and 290 baht in cash found at the scene.
The group has been charged with illegal gambling — specifically engaging in a dice game (hi-lo) for monetary gain without permission, and one individual faces an additional charge for acting as the gambling dealer.
All suspects were transferred to Nongprue Police Station for further legal proceedings.
