PATTAYA, Thailand – More than 100 supporters, sponsors and friends gathered at Siam Bayshore Resort Pattaya on October 18 for Pink Moves, a charity workout organised by the Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard in partnership with the resort, raising 134,000 baht for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Park Village project.
Joining the community effort were President Geoff Mitchell, Past President Rodney Charman, Past President Steve Rochester, Rose Rochester and Dao Mitchell, alongside fellow Rotarians and supporters united in helping women affected by breast cancer.

Combining aerobics, Zumba and dance performances with breast cancer education, the event brought an important cause into focus through an afternoon of exercise, fellowship and generosity.
Leading the workout was Kru Alex, bringing energy, fun and community spirit to the session, together with Kru Joy, whose encouragement combined motivation, dance and smiles. Supported by their training team, the instructors helped bring the campaign’s message, “Pink Moves – Workout for a Cause,” to life.

Members of the Club Amical Français, the French Club, contributed Bachata and Zumba performances, adding to the entertainment and reflecting the international community’s support for the fundraiser.
Alongside the activities, a doctor and staff from Samitivej Sriracha Hospital delivered a presentation on breast cancer awareness, early detection and prevention. Their contribution gave the gathering an educational purpose as well as a charitable one.

Organisers expressed their appreciation to the hospital team for sharing their knowledge, and thanked the instructors, performers, sponsors, friends and participants whose involvement helped make the event a success.
The beneficiary, Pink Park Village, supports underprivileged women facing breast cancer, addressing difficulties that extend beyond medical treatment. These include the need for suitable accommodation and compassionate care for patients with limited financial resources.

The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation describes the project as encompassing hospice and convalescence care, supporting patients physically and emotionally in a dignified environment. Its wider development also includes breast cancer care, learning and training, and diagnostic facilities.
For women travelling to Bangkok for treatment, having a safe place to stay and recover can make a meaningful difference. The funds raised through Pink Moves will support the foundation’s work in helping patients who might otherwise struggle to obtain that assistance.
The Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard thanked Siam Bayshore Resort and everyone who attended, sponsored or contributed to the event. Their combined efforts turned an afternoon of movement and music into 134,000 baht of support for women affected by breast cancer.
