Kerati Kaenkaew celebrates birthday and appointment as Chief Provincial Prosecutor in Pattaya

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet led a distinguished delegation of city and provincial officials in extending birthday wishes to Prosecutor Kerati Kaenkaew – also known as “Prosecutor Op” – during a warm and festive evening held at the newly opened Thai Marché restaurant.

The event, organized by Prosecutor Kerati’s family, marked both his birthday and his recent appointment as Chief of the Provincial Court Prosecution Office in Pattaya City, under the Office of the Attorney General. A few days earlier, he had officially taken up the post after serving in the provinces of Nakhon Nayok and Maha Sarakham.



Prosecutor Kerati brings an impressive academic and professional background to his new role. A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Chulalongkorn University, he went on to earn two Master’s degrees in Law from Case Western Reserve University in the United States and BPP University in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Rule & Law Development committee under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajarakittiyabha Mahidol.

Beyond his public service, Prosecutor Kerati has been a committed advocate for children’s rights. Since 2013, he has served on the committee of the SafeguardKids Foundation, working alongside founding president Mr. Chale Wuthanun. His contributions have included efforts to advance legal reforms aimed at strengthening protections for children and improving relevant law enforcement practices.


Among the high-profile attendees were Piensak Sombatthong, Director General for Regional 2 Public Prosecution; Yaowaluk Nondhakaew, Director General for Special Litigation; Khumnueng Vongthaweesub, Director General for Regional 3 Public Prosecution; Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn; Bang Lamung District Chief Patcharapol Sritanyanon; and Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station.

Mayor Poramet and his delegation presented a congratulatory gift basket to Prosecutor Kerati, expressing their best wishes on the occasion of both his birthday and his new post. The gathering reflected the high esteem in which the new prosecutor is held and underscored the strong ties between Pattaya’s civic and legal communities.
