Young girls perform a beautiful dance.

Manoon Makpol

Duty-free retailer King Power International Co. donated more than a half-million baht in cash and items to the Pattaya Orphanage while treating the children to lunch and entertainment.

Director of Creative and Corporate Communications Sukhrudee Pongpantwattana and 33 other King Power executives and employees brought to the donations to the orphanage Aug. 18 where they were welcomed by director Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak.

The “Sharing Power” event raised 500,000 baht to fund the purchase of rice, dolls, toys and other items for orphans.

Following the presentation, Wichai Ling put on a hip-hop music and dance show for the children. King Power employees then prepared lunch for the kids, along with sweets and ice cream.

The puppet troupe does a break dance for the party.

Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak (center), executive director of the orphanage, accepts donations from Piya Rattanaburee, manager of customers relations, and Sukhrudee Pongpanwattana, director of creative and corporation communications, with the committee from King Power Co. Ltd., and the performers, care givers and children.

The performance is intense when puppets warriors meet in battle.
