René Pisters, general manager of the Thai Garden Resort and Ren้ Punselie, marketing manager of Special Journey Thailand visited the Vakantie Beurs (Holiday Fair) in Utrecht, the Netherlands from 11 - 16 January. In corporation with the Tourist Authority of Thailand based in the Netherlands, China Airlines, EVA Airline, Stip Reizen and other exhibitioners they participated in the Thailand Pavilion to promote Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard. The fair was visited by 122,100 visitors and clearly Thailand is still the number one destination for Dutch travelers.


Mario Beyer (2nd left), executive assistant manager of the Rooms Division for Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, along with hotel staff participated in the Children’s Day activities at Pattaya City Hall. Children enjoyed games organized by the staff who also distributed gifts and sweets to the children.


David Cumming (2nd right), GM of the Amari Orchid Pattaya, hosted a most successful BCCT networking evening at the Tavern by the Sea recently. The co-sponsors of this popular BCCT event were represented by Graham Macdonald (left), chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand; John Sim, chief operating officer of KPMG in Thailand; Richard Rome, Eastern Seaboard office branch manager; and Kaisri Neungsigkapian, chief executive officer of KPMG in Thailand.


Chatchawal Supachayanont, GM of the Dusit Thani Pattaya welcomes Russian tennis superstar Ana Zvonareva who arrived straight from her semi-final appearance at the Australian Open to defend her title in the PTT Pattaya Open. Ana is aiming for an unprecedented hat trick in the PTT Pattaya Open which is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the Dusit Thani Pattaya. World class WTA players voted the PTT open 2010 as the Tournament of the Year for the excellent Thai hospitality and service combined with the outstanding organization of the tennis tournament.


Dr. Prayuth Somprakit (5th right), CEO of the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and Director Dr. Pichit Kangwolkij (3rd left) invited three American anesthesiologists to address a Continuous Medical Education (CME) meeting at the Hospital. Other distinguished participants included Dr. Tony Tsai (6th left), Dr. Gary Pastuchenko (4th left), Dr. Minh Phan (5th left), Dr. Iain Corness (6th right), Dr. Supakorn Winnawan (4th right), and Dr. Khomsan Wasuwanij (3rd right).
