Thai Airways International has very kindly become a Major Sponsor of the 7th
Pattaya Charity Cross Bay Swim.
The swim is the main fund raiser for the Rotary Club of
Jomtien-Pattaya who organizes and manages the event every year. Thai Airways
joins the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, Dusit Thani Pattaya, City Hall,
Pattaya Mail Media Group, Pattaya Sports Club and Bangkok Hospital
Pattaya as the main anchors for the event. There are, of course, many other
very generous supporters and sponsors including members of Rotary itself.
The management of the classy Dusit D2 Boutique Hotel has also been very
active in helping to organize the event.
Famous for many years as a paradise of water sports and
marine-related pursuits, Pattaya benefits enormously from this event which
this year will attract more than one hundred swimmers, adults and children
of all nationalities participating in what must be regarded as one of the
most colorful and environmentally friendly activities for the entire family.
Rotary is totally committed to offering humanitarian
service and assistance to alleviate the suffering and needs of the
underprivileged in our community and elsewhere in the Kingdom. The proceeds
from the Cross Bay Swim will be donated directly to the charity projects
serviced by the Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya.
This is the major swim event on the Eastern Seaboard.
Time is getting short to register. This year it will be held on Sunday,
November 21st and swimmers will have a choice of two distances: 3.5 km long
cross bay swim or the shorter 1.1 km shoreline swim.
Itinerary:
1 km along the beach from Hard Rock Hotel: Start 12.00 noon
Registration Open from 10.00 a.m.
3.5 km from Sea Rescue Station Bali Hai: Start 1.00 p.m.
Registration Open from 11.00 a.m.
Finish Line at Dusit Thani Pattaya (Chaba Beach) 12.15 to 3.00 p.m.
