Dusit Thani Pattaya supports Green Leaf Foundation’s 350 ppm campaign

The Green Leaf Foundation of Thailand has launched a campaign to encourage people to help reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere to 350 parts per million (ppm) from the current 392 ppm, the amount that is said to be rising by about 2 parts per million every year. The campaign, “350 Bike More, Walk More” says it all about urging people to use the bike or walk, especially when the situation allows, instead of driving their car to help in the fight against global warming.

As a long-time member of the environmental organization, Dusit Thani Pattaya was the first hotel under its wing to raise awareness on the campaign significance among its staff and management.

In another development, the five-star resort was once again recognized for its effort in promoting better health to its guests while staying at the hotel. Prawes Akanimart, president of the hotel’s Green Leaf Committee accepted the award from Green Leaf Foundation president Dr. Suwit Yodmani. The hotel has received several recognitions in the past for its continued allocation of more than 75% of its total room inventory as smoke-free accommodation.

During ceremonies held in Bangkok, the foundation’s vice-president, Asst. Prof. Jiraphol Sindhunava spoke on the ongoing initiatives that Green Leaf Foundation is doing and thanked Dusit Thani Pattaya for its support in all their environmental programs including the 350 ppm campaign.
