The Lighthouse Club’s next meeting will be held at the Pullman Aisawan Pattaya Resort at 6 p.m. on Friday June the 4. The entrance fee is 200 baht for members and all ladies. For everyone else the charge is 500 baht.

The Charity Club of Pattaya will be holding a Charity Gala Dinner with a grand prize draw & auction on Saturday June 5 from 7.00 p.m. until midnight at the All Season’s Hotel Pattaya. The BCCT is holding an Eastern Seaboard Dinner on Friday June 11 at the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa. The guest speakers will be Mark Devadason, BCCT Chairman and CEO of Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) PCL and Daniel Pruce, Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy Bangkok. The topic for the talk will be ‘Thailand’s Political & Economic Situation’. AustCham Thailand will hold an Eastern Seaboard Sundowners networking function at the Hard Rock Café on Friday, June 11 starting at 6 p.m. This is a great opportunity for members and guests of the Chamber to meet, network and exchange views in a social environment. The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, June 6 and everyone is warmly welcome. The Club has returned to its regular and longtime location. The Amari Orchid Resort has completed its renovations of Henry J. Bean’s Bar & Grill into the newly named Tavern by the Sea. It is located at the north end of Pattaya Beach Road. The program will start as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Each week the PCEC usually has an interesting speaker to talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. This week’s scheduled presenter will be David Garmaise. His video presentation will be “Broadway in Concert”. The talk will be followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone.
