Pattaya-area journalists went from observers to participants for a day when they provided lunch to residents of Karunyawet Home for the Disabled on National Mass Media Day. The recently formed Pattaya Journalists Club marked the March 5 media day by collecting 30,000 baht to serve a hot lunch and ice cream and donate adult diapers,

800 girls learn key values
at 3-day camp
About 800 female students from Chonburi’s Chonkalayanukul School learned about the value of nationalism, religion, the monarchy and self-confidence at a 3-day Girl Scouts and Youth Red Cross camp from March 4-6 at the temporary Scout grounds at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Pattaya.

United Group donates 250,000 baht to Pattaya Orphanage
Once again, at the annual staff party of the United Group in Hong Kong, sponsor Neville Krogh led to the collection of 250,000 baht for the Pattaya Orphanage. Neville and his lovely wife Mayuree handed over the funds on March 6.

China leads the way
Far from being a country inhabited by penniless peasants, China is literally going from strength to strength. Forget all those old jokes about China only being copycats. China is standing on its own two feet these days, and doing very well, thank you very much with China passenger car sales up 55 percent in February. The following item from Associated Press confirms that.
