Raimon Land Senior Vice President Communications Kwanrudee Maneewongwatthana (4th left) recently presented a 600,000 baht cheque to the American Women’s Club of Thailand’s (AWC) Community Projects, (L to R) Rosa Chomjandr, Dr Somsak Soorapanthu and Dr Cleopandh Soorapanthu from the Chaiyapruk Foundation, AWC 2nd Vice President Lili Chequer and AWC President Joette Berkompas. The proceeds are being donated to the Chaiyapruk Foundation, whose long-established ‘Living Tree’ project provides a home in Nakhon Nayok for orphans.


 

Achana Snitwongse Na Ayudhaya, managing director of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya hosted a birthday party at the Marco Polo Chinese Restaurant for Stella Kelly, a regular guest of the hotel. Hotel management and staff plus plenty of well wishers were on hand to wish her many happy returns.


Journalists from different Bangkok publications recently paid a visit to Dusit Thani Pattaya and were accompanied by Dusit Corporate International PR Manager Chutimaporn Kasemsuk (left). The media people earlier inspected another Dusit property, dusitD2baraquda Pattaya, before they were welcomed by Vanjie Lauzon (4th left), Dusit Thani Pattaya’s Marketing Communications Manager.

Silvermover Company, Ltd., was one of just nineteen companies throughout Thailand to receive an award for Excellent Enterprise in the Area of Employment for Persons with Disabilities. The award is presented by Udomdej Rattanasatien, Minister of Social Development and Human Security and was presented on December 3, United Nations Disabled Day. Charlie Warner (back left), M.D of Silvermover Co., Ltd., receives the award from Eknarin Swatwaengkuang, careers officer at the Redemptorist Foundation for People with Disabilities. Also at the presentation were (front left-right) Piyaphat Thamsiri and Itsaret Hongnung.


Somsak Tanruengsri (3rd right), general manager of Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa, and associates showed their spirit by serving sandwiches to stranded passengers who waited for their flights home at Utapao Airport. In addition, the resort offered a special full board room rate to the guests who were not able to leave Thailand as planned.


H.E. Dr. Hanns H. Schumacher (center), newly appointed German Ambassador to Thailand recently visited Royal Cliff Beach Resort, welcomed by Alexander Haeusler (right) general manager. It was the ambassador’s first visit to Pattaya, which was organized by Stefan Buerkle (left), executive director, German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC).
