‘Hana’ Tassanawalai Ongartittichai, famous TV Star, recently joined the ‘Amari Cares For Kids’ charity project by donating a Teddy Bear-Santa, for an underprivileged child, at Amari Orchid Resort & Tower, Pattaya, during her recent stay at the luxurious 5-Star Ocean Tower. This festive season, the hotel has joined forces with the ‘Baan Tang Trong School’ Bangpra, Sriracha, to fulfill the wishes of underprivileged children for a Christmas/New Year present of their desires.


 

Barbara Morf (centre), MD of Swiss sales, with Chaophya Park Hotel general manager Andrew Wood (right), and exec sous chef Pairot Sirinupong (left) were recently seen at the Chaophya Park Hotel, Bangkok discussing a tourism marketing recovery plan for Thailand and to ensure that just the right ingredients are added for success. Andrew Wood said, “Business is steadily improving, arrivals are increasing by approximately 12-15% per week since the Bangkok airports re-opened, we are already at 70% occupancy and breaking through 80%. We are smiling once again at Chaophya Park Hotels & Resorts after an intense marketing campaign to worldwide business partners to promote Thailand’s recovery and are looking forward to a better year in 2009.”

The International Service Team from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, led by Ketsara Prugsapramool (left), Wararat Sasom (2nd left) and Pattaravadee Wangviriyaphan (right) recently visited and presented Christmas gifts to Dr. Paolo Battaglino, at the consulate of the Italian Embassy in Chonburi District.


Santa Claus was recently spotted at the Montien Hotel, Pattaya at the Verandah Coffee Shop and La Mer Restaurant, with presents for children. He even stayed a while to list to the live music.


Fr. Lawrence Patin, director of the Fr. Ray Foundation (right), receives a donation of 38,000 baht from Mick Ramshaw, owner of the Bunker Bar in Soi Chaiyapoon. The money was raised through the John Preddy Memorial Golf Tournament and will be used to provide sports facilities for the new Drop-In Center for Street Kids, including a grassed football field, currently built on Thepprasit Road.


The management team from Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa, led by Asanee Intaring (left), marketing communications manager visited the Pattaya Mail office to thank us for our continuous support over the past years, and to present a New Year’s Gift received by Tony Malhotra (center) and Nanthini Doowa (2nd left). Martine Klein (2nd right), F&B marketing communications coordinator and Sukhum Sukudom (right), assistant sales manager also took part in the presentation.


Some 60 members of the Pattaya Mass Media Club recently gathered at Pattaya City Hall to vote in Surasak Tummanon, editor of Siam newspaper, as the club’s new president. Surasak said that as he has now been involved in the affairs of Pattaya City for some time, he could bring this vast experience to the position.
