Häfele (Thailand) Limited recently organised an
annual staff party and family trip for 800 staff at Hua Hin. The action
packed expedition included temple and palace visits, beach activities, best
employer award presentations, a singing contest and a surprise concert from
famous artist Jetrin Wattanasin.

recently welcomed Dr Surin Pitsuwan (2nd left), secretary-general of ASEAN,
for the ASEAN Joint Consultative Meeting held recently at Royal Cliff Grand
Hotel & Spa. Delegates attending included under secretaries from the
Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Trade representing the governments of
Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao P.D.R., Malaysia, Myanmar,
Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. The meeting was in preparation
for the 14th ASEAN summit to be held next month.
Yossaphon Tangbholbhisuthi, resident manager of Ravindra Beach Resort &
Spa recently welcomed Chinese Admiral Wu Shengli, commander of the
People’s Liberation Navy and member of the Central Military Commission,
during an official visit to Thailand as a guest of the Royal Thai Navy.
The 2nd Bangsaen Speed Festival was a huge success
with all elements of a world class motor sports street race similar to the
famous annual Long Beach Grand Prix. It had a combination of normal streets
with long straights (850 meters), consecutive left and right curves, and
sharp u-turns that test the skills of drivers. It raised the popularity with
the drivers from all over Asia with an estimated 200,000 spectators. Also at
the race were (L to R) Jack Lemvard, 2008 Asian Touring Car Champion, Bobby
Brooks, 1993 Regional SCCA champion, and Sontaya Khunplome, Bangsaen Speed
Festival Event Organizer & Super Car Driver.

Montien Hotel, Pattaya recently hosted a birthday party for V.I.P.
guest Per Krogh at the Verandah Coffee Shop. As is custom, friends and staff
gather around to wish him a Happy Birthday.
