Surging demand prompts Raimon Land to release more units at The River
Raimon Land released the first units in the North Tower of
its prestigious Bangkok riverfront condominium project, The River, on 14
October, to meet strong demand. Following the release, nine units were sold
immediately to Thai nationals.
With the sales volume reaching the halfway mark of the targeted THB13 billion in
June, Raimon Land released the South Tower’s upper-floor units earlier than
planned. Higher than expected take up has again prompted the luxury real estate
developer to release the units in the North Tower.
Raimon Land Chief Executive Officer, Nigel Cornick, said this strong performance
reflects the positive sentiment held among investors in spite of the world’s
financial crisis and political troubles in Thailand.
“Releasing these additional units demonstrates the market’s confidence in the
long-term prospects for high-end property investments in Thailand. This is
particularly true of the high-quality, upscale condominium sector, which is
driving the market forward,” Mr. Cornick said.
“The upcoming releases of Raimon Land’s two most luxurious projects to date,
Amalfi in Phuket and 185 Rajadamri in Bangkok, further reflect our belief that
Thailand’s luxury property sector can continue to expect sustained demand
throughout the year. It also sends a positive signal to international investors
considering strategic property purchases in the country,” Cornick added.
The River’s North Tower unit mix consists of 62-64-square-metre one-bedroom
units in the THB5.6-7.4-million range, and nine 132-square-metre two-bedroom
units priced between THB18.4 and THB20.8 million. Three larger two and
three-bedroom units on the upper floors are available starting at THB26.5-51.8
million.
From the launch of the 851-unit project in March 2007, when the limited number
of units released were sold out within three days, through June 2008, Raimon
Land has incrementally released 492 condominiums, selling 418 of them for a
total of THB7.7 billion, a figure more than 55% of the way to the project’s
targeted total sales of THB13 billion.
The prestigious The River condominium project is the focal point of Raimon
Land’s overall marketing initiative to develop and promote an exclusive
lifestyle community on the Chao Phraya River.
