Yuwadee Nimsomboon (center), a senator and former president of the Royal Thai Women’s Association (under the Queen’s patronage) recently presided over the opening ceremony of the art exhibition titled “Stitching the Emotion”, a collection of cross-stitch pieces by Panida Chobavanicha (2nd right) and the editorial team. Part of the proceeds will be donated to support the Kwanruen Charity Fund. The exhibition was held on the 3rd floor of the Amari Watergate Hotel, welcomed by the GM Pierre Andre Pelletier (3rd left) and Nichaya Chaivisuth (2nd left), the hotel’s director of communications and PR, joined by Wapen Jermprapai (left) and Jatuporn Limpiyarisakul (right).


 

The Royal Thai Navy contingents based in Sattahip recently visited Dusit Thani Pattaya where they were given a tour around the five-star hotel. The naval officers from the Internal Welfare Department, led by Rear Admiral Pongpol Wacharadech, were also briefed on operations pertaining to food and beverage and the front office. They were welcomed by Dusit Thani Pattaya’s director of administration Waran Chalermrithichai (2nd row 3rd left), director of convention and catering Pongsakorn Ruksri (3rd row right) and front office manager Pramot Sothana (front row left).


Congratulations were in order for the newly married couple, Colin Morris and his bride Piyaporn Panman who celebrated their wedding at Cattleya Ballroom Room the Montien Hotel, Pattaya.

Father Theo Lewis of the St. George’s congregation in Pattaya recently performed a marriage blessing for a Russian couple who requested not to wear any religious vestments and there were to be no guests, only the three of them and the hotel staff. The ceremony was performed in the beautiful garden near the beach of the Sheraton Pattaya Resort and they were surrounded by the hotel staff who threw rose petals and a jazz band played in the background. Afterwards the couple enjoyed their wedding cake and a bottle of champagne and danced to the music of the jazz band, it was indeed a most interesting afternoon.
