The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, February 10. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30am with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11am. Everyone is warmly welcome. This week the PCEC welcomes John Fishback who will talk about your rights as a condo owner derived from his personal experience in fighting to stop the construction in front of the Jomtien Complex Condominium. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. David & Emily Lipman are proud to present a Latino Dance Evening on Saturday February 16 which will benefit both the Mercy Center and the Parent Teachers Group of St Andrews School located in Rayong. In addition to a worthy cause, this event will promote community awareness in regard to St Andrews school and the Mercy Center. The proceeds of the event will be split between the two groups. The venue will be the new Nusa Playa Hotel located at the intersection of Jomtien Beach Road and Soi 14. Cost is 1,000 baht for adults and 500 baht for children 18 years old and younger.
