Clubs & Associations

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, January 20th. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11am: Everyone is warmly welcome. This week the PCEC will welcome the Head of the Dental Department at the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya Dr. Kanokrat Chanthadansuwan who will talk about the Brite Smile Professional Teeth Whitening process. This will be followed by the ever lively Open Forum and update on happenings in and around Pattaya. A full report appears each week in Pattaya Mail. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. The Royal British Legion Thailand is now firmly established at Tropical Bert’s 2nd Road next to Soi 6/1. We are now approaching 70 members, why don’t you become No 70. Served in H.M. Armed Forces? Or even if you have not, as long as you support the principles of the Legion you are welcome to join. We meet every Sunday lunch from 1pm, our future trips are April 24th a two day trip to the River Kwai for ANZAC Day (Aussies and Kiwis welcome) and early June a week in Batu Gajah, Malaysia, once again to meet up with our Aussie friends and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Malay Emergency. Pattaya’s famous keyboard player Ramil will be playing his "swan-song" as he bids farewell on Friday January 18 at the Jazz Pit on Soi 5. It promises to be a vibrant party with numerous musicians performing. All are welcome.

Asian University, the local international university located on Highway 331 between km 116 and 117, will be holding another Open House on Saturday January 19, from 9am - 3pm.
