“Smooth Curry” - Thai Restaurant at Plaza Athénée Bangkok was the venue for the recent dinner of the Lausanne Hotel Management School Alumni members.   Over 40 participants, amongst them seasoned Hoteliers such as Kurt and Mrs. Wachtveitl from The Oriental, Amari’s MD Kurt Rufli , Heinrich Widler, greatly enjoyed Thai Tapas and the refreshing “Monsoon Valley” Thai wines,  generously sponsored by Siam Winery, represented by  Mr. Kim Wachtveitl - Director of Business Development.  Stammvater (Alumni President) Robert Jaermann (2nd left) expressed his thanks and appreciation to Georges Baurin - General Manager and Patrick Schaub - Hotel Manager of the organizing hotel as well as to the wine sponsor.

Sophin Theppajug, (center) MD of Diana Group, welcomed the board of Supreme Court judges from Bhutan led by Dr. Jinchen Ehophel to the Diana Garden Resort recently. The group is here on a case study tour of the state of affairs concerning families and juveniles in Pattaya.


Orapin Musiknavabutr (4th right back row), Director of Human Resources led a culinary team from the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa, provide a Thai cooking class for twenty schoolchildren at the Regent’s International School recently. The kids learned how to make Som Tum, Prawn Spring Rolls, and Chicken Satay, which they enjoyed eating afterwards. The program is part of the resort’s Spirit To Serve Our Communities program, with the aim of widening the experiences of the children by giving them an introduction to the culinary arts.
