Clubs

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, December 3rd. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30am with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11am. Everyone is warmly welcome. This week the speaker will be Eddie Gibson of UK Kennels Pattaya; Eddie will discuss basic obedience and advise people how to handle and train their own dogs, how to handle redeployment of their pets, how to handle the medical agenda and look after their pets health. This will be followed by the usual Open Forum and update on happenings in and around Pattaya. A full report appears each week in Pattaya Mail. The Pattaya International Ladies Club Christmas Lunch will be held on Wednesday, 6th of December from 10.30am at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel, in the Siam Ballroom. Amor Restaurant is once again holding its famous Christmas Dinner on Monday December 25. Jameson’s the Irish Pub has a host of daily specials including on Mondays fillet steak special, a fillet steak served on a sizzling metal tray with french-fries and vegetables for 165 baht. Tropical Bert’s has been on the hunt for the perfect pork pie and sausage and think we may have found it from a small supplier in Bangkok (as near to a Melton Mowbray Pie as you will get are many of our customers comments). Sunday lunch has also gotten better - have as many choices of meat as you wish and if you want more just ask. It’s not a carvery so it’s served hot and fresh and remains the same price, 250 Bt for 3 courses. Gallery Opium, Pattaya announces an exhibition of work by resident & guest artists - "Pictures at an Exhibition". This exhibition launches a new season of the gallery’s artists and inaugurates the opening of the new gallery space on the ground floor, as well as its expanding services. Visitors are welcomed to commission art works as well as discuss bespoke framing requirements. Due to popular demand the exhibition will now be extended till 20 January 2007.
