City Council wants action on traffic problems

Councilors reject Town
of Infinity design
Pattaya City Councilors have turned down the initial design for the proposed
Town of Infinity symbol, saying that any symbol used for Pattaya should have
more Thai emphasis.
Nawat Thongsawang, architect with Februar Image Co Ltd, submitted a design for
the symbol that would be mounted on the north and south Pattaya arches to a
meeting at city hall on November 8. Amongst those at the presentation were Mayor
Niran Wattanasartsathorn, Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon, and director of
the Public Works Department Pichet Uthaivatananon.

PCEC members learn how to protect their homes
This week’s meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club
(PCEC) on Sunday November 5 at Henry J. Bean’s included another speaker with
whom regular attendees will be very familiar. This week MC Philip Schwartz
introduced club chairman Andre Machielsen. Andre is managing director of
Master Safety Enterprises Ltd.

Jesters MC celebrate 10th anniversary
The Jesters Motorcycle Club of Thailand celebrated their 10th
anniversary at the Green Tree Pub on Beach Road in North Pattaya last
Saturday, November 11th. A couple of hundred friends and fellow bikers
came by to help ensure that the event was a festive one. A sumptuous
buffet courtesy of Khun Chan and his staff augmented by Banana’s famous
leg of ox barbecue kept the bellies of the party goers full along with
the complimentary beverages.

ISE joins ISB Massed Band Festival
Last weekend 36 students from the International School Eastern Seaboard
(ISE) attended the massed band festival at the International School
Bangkok, combining forces with band students from ICS and ISB under the
baton of Shuwichi Komiyama.

It was a wonderful night for a ‘Moon’ Dance
Chant ‘Moon’ Schwulera’s 42 Stableford points was the best
score of the day, and the only score over 39 points to win the 2006 Diana Gold
Charity Golf tournament at Eastern Star on Friday 10th November.
