Pattaya shines as venue for 55th PATA annual conference
The 55th PATA Annual Conference wrapped up on April 26 with activities, a
cocktail reception at Siam Bayshore and a closing evening ceremony at the Royal
Cliff beach Resort.
Stressing
the importance of the annual event, Deputy Prime Minister Suwat said tourism is
a key to resolving the present global changes that are greatly affecting the
economic and social development as well as the safety of the people of the
world, as it brings people together in peace and happiness. The growth of the
tourism industry throughout all regions is having a positive affect on the
growth of the economies of those countries, bringing employment, careers and
income.

ISE hosts Mekong River International School Association sports competition
Middle School Sports Exchange April 20 – 23, 2006: The ISE
campus on Burapha Golf Course was bustling with activity as 140 international
school students and coaches from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos came to play
basketball, volleyball and participate in cross-country running.

Windsurfers kicking up a storm off Jomtien Beach
The Pattaya Windsurfing Club, in cooperation with Thai
Beverage Marketing Company Limited and the Windsurfing Association of Thailand
held Stage 1 of the Pattaya Windsurfing Cup 2006 over the weekend April 29-30,
and a total of sixty contestants from seven different nations took part in the
two-day event.
