Clubs

The main speaker at the Pattaya City Expats Club on Sunday June 5 will be Thor Halland with Part 2 of the History of Siam. His interesting and informative presentation of the first part of the early history, of what we have come to know as Thailand, was so well received that the organizing committee have been asked to schedule Thor’s second part earlier than expected. The meeting will also have a special presentation from Rancho Texas. Carl Kull from New Mexico will talk about setting up a business and getting the appropriate government approval. He will talk about the various varieties of pickles and salsa that are processed by his company. As usual there will be a chance to ask questions of the presenters and a chance to ask for or share information in the open forum session. Everyone welcome – meeting free and open to all. Meeting starts at 10.30, buffet breakfast available from 9.30 a.m. at Henry J. Beans Restaurant in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort on North Pattaya Beach Road.

Da Joe Ristorante Italiano has now changed its name to Don Joe Ristorante Italiano but the quality is still at its best. The Rotary Club of Taksin-Pattaya and the Rotary Club of Pattaya will jointly hold Charity Bingo night on Sunday 5 June from 6 p.m. at the Grand Sole Hotel, Second Road, Pattaya. There are some fantastic prizes to be won, including a 29" colour TV, microwave oven, refrigerator and many more electrical prizes as well as lots of small prizes to be won. Events

The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Thailand will celebrate the formation on Saturday, June 4 at the PowerStation Motor Sport, Bangkok. The Harley Owners Groupฎ (H.O.G.) is an organization founded and sponsored by Harley-Davidsonฎ Motor Company. The purpose of the local chapter shall be to promote responsible motorcycling activities for Harley Owners Group members by conducting chapter activities and encouraging participation in other H.O.G. events. The Thailand Chapter activities and operations shall be conducted in a same manner consistent with a family-oriented, non-political philosophy. The ride will leave at 10 a.m. from PowerStation and go via Chachoengsao onto the ACE Café in Jomtien for lunch at 1 p.m. For the Harley Riders located in the Chonburi area, you are welcome to join for lunch and join the ride up to Bangkok for the party. Leaving ACE Cafe at 2:30 p.m. Riders will return to PowerStation at around 6 p.m., where the party will begin. The Rotary Club of Taksin Pattaya will host the Installation Night of its new president and board members for the year 2005/2006, on Saturday, June 4 at Nong Nooch Gardens. Free transport from Pattaya to Nong Nooch Gardens and return from 6.30 p.m. The gala evening includes a Thai / European buffet and free beer, wine, whisky & soft drinks, shows and entertainment for only 750 baht.
