Announcements

The executive committee of the Pattaya Sports Club is pleased to announce that the 2004 Annual General Meeting of the Pattaya Sports Club will be held at the Town-In-Town Hotel, Pattaya Central Road, at 10 a.m. on Saturday June 26. Elective members are encouraged to attend if at all possible. (Please note that only elective members can attend this meeting.) For those elective members unable to attend the meeting, forms of proxy will be available from the PSC Office from 10 a.m. on Monday April 12.

Clubs

Pattaya City Expats Club will hold its regular weekly Sunday morning meeting at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort, North Beach Road at 10.30 a.m. As usual a breakfast buffet will be available from 9.30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. The April 11 meeting will be a presentation by Dr. Lee Clubb, acting dean of the Business Faculty at the Asian University talking about the changing role of the university and the implementation of new courses that are available for the children of foreign residents. The organizers of the international charity paintball competition, held recently, will be at the meeting to formally hand over a cheque to Nernplubwan School.

Louis Noll and the Mata Hari crew are ‘going fishing’ and as such the popular Mata Hari Restaurant will close for their annual holidays from Monday May 5 till Monday May 26 and open again as usual on Tuesday May 27. The Paradise Restaurant will be closed until April 21, as Hans Banziger and his team escape from the summer heat and the Songkran activities. But as of April 22, an exiting new food promotion will be served, where mangos will be the star of the promotion. Located opposite the Royal Garden Plaza and Marriott Resort.

Starz Diner at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya has introduced its new concept cuisine, Buffet Dee Light. I-TIM, the International Hotel and Tourism Industry Management School, Bangkok is awarding scholarships to students in need of financial support for the July intake. The scholarships are for I-TIM’s two-year diploma in hotel and tourism management applications are available from I-TIM from the May 8 which is visit I-TIM Day. The scholarship for Thai students is valued at 68,000 Thai baht per year and will be awarded in both years of study subject to conditions. Scholarships are also available for foreign students and are valued at $US1000 per year and will also be valid for both years of study subject to conditions.
