Her Royal Highness Princess Somsawalee Kitiyakara was warmly welcomed by Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH managing director Panga Vathanakul (left) and director of Sales, Thailand Sunisa Yusananda, as she graciously presided over the opening of this year’s Asia Pacific Menopause Federation Scientific Meeting at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH). Now on its second year, the event facilitates the exchange of views and expertise on recent knowledge and possible measures to improve the health and well being of menopausal women in the Pacific region.


The Management and guests of the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa recently visited and hosted a lunch for 180 children for the Pattaya Redemptionist School for the Blind on their sport’s day as part of the Resort’s mission to help the community.


The Schoeffels from Mainz Germany have been coming to Pattaya for the last 25 years, ever since Sandra was a little girl. This year without fail, Sandra,(seated right) now a vivacious young lady, celebrated her birthday again in Pattaya. Staff at the Henry J Bean’s Bar & Grill gathered around as Sandra blew out the candles and wished her many happy returns. Mama Birgit and papa Walter seemed thrilled by the whole affair.


The management team from Department of Industrial Works (DIW) led by Dr. Prasert Tapaneeyangkoon, Deputy Director, along with members of the media, recently visited the Eastern Seaboard Environmental Complex (ESBEC) operated by Waste Management Siam C. Ltd. (WMS) to observe the waste management facility which is professionally run and meets both national and international standards. John L Hamilton, ESBEC general manager, extended a warm welcome and led them on a site tour.


Indian by Nature, an exclusive Indian restaurant opened its doors to the public last week. Be pampered like the Maharajas and Maharanis as you dine fine Indian cuisine to the accompaniment of the beautiful melodies of the sitar and the tabla.


Jill Thomas former head of the St. Andrews International School took time off to begin a family with her husband Gethin. Having been out of the limelight for quite sometime, her friends will be pleased to learn that the Thomas’ are now the proud parents of a bouncy baby boy named Joshua. Here Jill was spotted having relaxing a moment with her baby at the Art Caf้e.


Achana Snitwongse Na Ayudhaya, managing director of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya hosted a birthday party for Charoon Boonsompong, the hotel’s assistant personnel manager as staff joined the celebrations.
