Clubs

Pattaya City Expats Club meets on Sunday mornings at Henry J Beans Restaurant and Pub at the Amari Orchid Resort at the north end of Beach Road from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for buffet breakfast, and from 10:30-12:30 for entertaining speakers and open forum. Everyone welcome.

Tango with Mango, new steps to enjoy the yellow fruit - The sunny season isn’t complete without mango, the delicious golden tropical fruit. The executive chef of Dusit Resort Pattaya Hotel, Peter Held, with his joyous ideas, prepares a parade of mango menus for you. Some of the highlights are mango jelly on fresh hydroponic greens and seared peppered tuna fillet, chilled mango soup with young ginger and mint, poached snow fish fillet on mango tarragon sauce, roasted pork tender loin with mango salsa and rocket lettuce, saut้ed sliced veal in mango sauce with bulgur fritters and sugar peas and much more. Pizza and Pasta Festival every Friday in the Tropical Garden, Amari Orchid Resort from 7 p.m. for 330 baht ++ per person. Join in an Italian evening in the lush tropical gardens as Amari’s chef creates a wonderful buffet with home style cooking. Enjoy the antipasto or create your own pasta dish. Shenanigans the Irish Pub has increased its Monday Specials to start at 12 midday on both Monday and Tuesday. Monday there is a three-course menu, with two choices for each course for 199 baht. The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) is holding an International Networking Evening on the Eastern Seaboard, this Friday, March 19 at the Bang Saray Club 6.30 p.m. The Travel Clinic is sponsoring beverages and snacks on a first-come, first-served basis from 6.30 p.m. All other beverages are at standard prices as will everything else be when the sponsored supplies have run out. The 2nd Annual International Arm-Wrestling Championship will be taking place at the Royal Garden Plaza this Saturday, March 20 at 3 p.m. Following the success of last year’s event, Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya by the Fountain Stage, in association with the Bodybuilding Association of Thailand extends an open challenge of all Thai and expat men to put their muscular biceps to work by competing in the 2nd Annual International Arm Wrestling Championship. The competition is divided into two weight categories, under 75 kgs and over 75 kgs. The winner from each weight category will take home a cash prize and an honorary trophy from the Bodybuilding Association of Thailand. The event will take place on Saturday, March 20.
