Announcements
The Norwegian Embassy takes pleasure in inviting all
Norwegians to a meeting on Friday February 27 at 2 p.m. at the Jomtien
Garden Hotel. This meeting is being arranged to give the embassy an
opportunity to meet all Norwegians in the area and present its consular staff.
Further it gives residents and visiting Norwegians an opportunity to give
valuable feedback about the embassy’s work procedures and service. For the
embassy, such dialog is useful in order to provide the best possible service
and create the best possible relationship between itself and the users. You
will be meeting Consul Bj๘rn Bjerkaas and Attaché Thomas Bronder
from the embassy, Consul Stig Vagt-Andersen from the consulate in Pattaya and
Hilde Sirnes, the Norwegian pastor at the Scandinavian Church in Bangkok.

Pattaya City Expats Club meets on
Sunday mornings at Henry J Beans Restaurant and Pub at the Amari Orchid Resort
at the north end of Beach Road from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for buffet breakfast, and
from 10:30-12:30 for entertaining speakers and open forum. Everyone welcome.

Every Friday in the Tropical Garden, Amari Orchid Resort from 7 p.m.

Shenanigans the Irish Pub has increased its Monday
Specials to start at 12 midday on both Monday and Tuesday. Monday
there is a three-course menu, with two choices for each course for 199 baht.

For the month of February, Hans Banziger and his team at
the Paradise Restaurant have again prepared a new food promotion,

Exhibitions
Art Café features an art
exhibition entitled ‘Silent Storms’ featuring the works of
another young artist originating from Bangkok but living and working in
Pattaya. Chaiwichit ‘Joe’ Sappaso studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts,
Khon Khaen University and in 2001 won the Lefranc Painting Contest. Even
though he studied with oil, pastels, sketching, photography, watercolors and
acrylic, he has chosen watercolors as he finds them fresh and detailed as can
be seen in his work. The Art Café is optimistically looking again
on the young talent living here among the community and is quite sure that his
first exhibition at the Art Café will further contribute to his growth.
The exhibition will commence on Monday February 23 with a
cocktail reception in the garden from 7 p.m. and a ‘family style’ dinner
after the official opening, at 8 p.m. Price for unlimited cocktails and the
