Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana arrives at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort where she celebrated the 20th birthday of her son Khun Poom Jensen with a lavish beach party. Panga Vathanakul (right), managing director of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, was on hand to greet Her Royal Highness upon arrival.


Diana Group representatives, led by Niwat Prathummet, front office manager of Diana Garden Resort, visited one of their long stay guest families, British tourists who had brought their son, Richard Carabine, for treatment at Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital. This is one of the advantages of the Diana Group package, which takes care of guests during their extensive stays in Thailand.

Preecha Phetwong (seated, center), director of the Marine Safety and Environment Bureau, Marine Department, recently presided over the 9th Program Steering Committee Meeting for GEF/UNDP/IMO Regional Program on Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Sea of East Asia (PEMSEA), which took place at the Napalai Convention Hall of the Dusit Resort Pattaya Hotel. Thomas G. Christiansen, resident manager of the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa (standing back row center), recently welcomed a group of International Chinese Tourist Association Fam Trip, Kowloon - Hong Kong. The group of about 26 people was led by Mr. Jackie Wong (standing to the left of Thomas) J.P. chairman. Thomas escorted the group to the Benihana Japanese Restaurant where the chef created individual delights while displaying a superb show.


Achana Snitwongse Na Ayudhaya, managing director of the Montien Hotel Pattaya, and the hotel’s management hosted a birthday party for Paitoon Wongsawat, Montien Hotel sales manager.


Eastern Seaboard Environmental Complex (ESBEC) and Waste Management Siam Co., Ltd. recently hosted community leaders from Nikom Bowin and Khao Kayai to a visit of the ESBEC site so that they might gain some basic knowledge about waste collection and disposal methods used by Modern Sanitary Landfill, and gain an understanding about the environmental monitoring and mitigation system. John L. Hamilton, ESBEC general manager and Sutthida Fakkum, PR and community relations manager, extended a warm welcome.
