Community celebrates Asalahabucha Day and make merit at local temples
Last weekend, the Buddhist Holy Day of Asalahabucha fell
on the 15th night of the full moon, during the eighth month of the Buddhist
Lunar calendar.
Asalahabucha Day is worshipped because of three important
events occurring on that day. Called the “Triple Gem” it commemorates
the first sermon given by the Buddha called the “Dhammachakapavattama
Sutta” denoting the “Four Noble Truths” that were presented to the
Buddha’s first five disciples. The sermon set in motion the “Wheel of
Dhamma”.

Human Trafficking must be stamped out
Top level discussions to enforce the law
Police officers around the country were recently educated
on the current situation concerning Human trafficking in Thailand. In a
seminar at the Dusit Resort Pattaya over 500 police officers from Region 1
and Region 2 were given the low down and presented with policies instigated
to solve the problem and were instructed to enforce the law at all costs.
