Announcements

The Expat’s Association of North East Thailand invites expats and their partners to the Inaugural Meeting on Saturday June 28 at 7 p.m. at the Number 1 Bar/Restaurant, 39/7 Na Muang Road, Central Khon Kaen. Special guest speaker will Peter Reading, British Embassy representative for the North East. Meetings will then follow monthly at various locations around the northeastern region. Clubs

Pattaya City Expats Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Beans, Beach Road North Pattaya. Breakfast menu starts at 9.30 a.m. Full breakfast, Thai dishes, or just tea/coffee. Dining

The Raj, Pattaya’s newest Indian restaurant has membership cards available to all their diners at no cost. Just bring your name card. This entitles you to a 20% discount on all food and drinks. Art Caf้ now features selected watercolor paintings from Caroline Gehrke, a Pattaya based artist. Caroline is a German citizen who is well known in the Bangkok art scene having had many expositions in galleries and hotels. The Art Caf้ in Soi 16 off Naklua Road offers a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine. In an impressive colonial style house, surrounded by a huge garden. Guests experience dedicated hospitality in the ambience of the good old days. In addition to the culinary relish, the paintings gallery featuring original paintings and copies of world famous works as well as the very different house band are points of attraction. Events

The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) in cooperation with Manpower Thailand invites you to an international networking evening on the Eastern Seaboard on Friday June 20 from 6:30 p.m. at Shenanigans Pattaya. All nationalities welcome! The entry fee is free for BCCT members. However, there is an entry fee for non-BCCT members of 500 baht per person. Should a non-member join the BCCT within three months of 20th June 2003 they will receive a refund of 500 baht per company membership.

In association with the Lions Club Jomtien Pattaya, the School of the Regents (ISR) will hold a 24-hour Swimathon 2003 at the school’s swimming pool, Saturday June 21 from 4 p.m. till 4 p.m. the following day. The event is in aid of charity. Everyone is invited to provide moral and/or financial support the students by adopting a team. Tahitian Queen 2 Rock ‘n’ Roll Bar (Soi BJ, South Pattaya) is throwing a 21st birthday party for Alan Verstein at 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. TQ2 will be serving hot, fresh pizza pies as well as delicious Thai Food throughout the night. As usual, they will also be giving away some excellent prizes for the high scorers at darts. Camillian Social Center Rayong Relief Center for HIV/AIDS will hold an educational seminar in English on the prevention of the spread of HIV/AIDS, Saturday, June 28 at the Camillian Social Center in Rayong.
