Brunei. There was much excitement as the International School of the
Regent’s Year 5 sports team embarked upon their first trip to the
Primary FOBISSEA Games.

The team had been well prepared by their PE teachers,
Mr. David Williams and Mrs. Naomi Rangi, but had no idea how well they
could perform against strong opposition from schools from all over South
East Asia. However, the worries were unfounded as the students returned
triumphant with medals galore. They also returned having made a lot of new
friends from other local schools and from schools further afield.
The children’s thoughts have already turned toward
next year’s games which will be held in Kota Kinabalu and, as the
excitement subsides, there will be many more students trying hard for
places on the team and a share in the glory! Much of the ‘glory’ must
be credited to parents who made dreams come true by supporting their
children in the games.
