Tourist Authority of Thailand and American Express (Thailand), jointly with Dusit Resort Pattaya, held a training program entitled “Sawadee-Host” presented by Hotel Manager Hans Banziger.


Mr. Christophe Lejeune, Assistant General Manager of the new, Mercure Hotel ‘Chonburi’, along with new staff members, had a pre-opening gathering. The hotel is scheduled to open next month.


The Diana Group gave out scholarships to children of its staff members for 1997. This is the 9th year the scholarships have been awarded. Each of the 49 children received 1,500 baht. Pattaya Mayor Pairat Suthithamrongsawat is seen presiding at the ceremony.

The Philippine Society of the Eastern Seaboard, in co-operation with the Embassy of the Philippines, organised an a cappella choral concert. The purpose of the concert was to raise money for scholarships for students in the Phanat Nikom area and also for the Somdej Hospital in Sriracha.
His Excellency, the Honourable Reynaldo Arcilla, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Thailand and other embassy officials were honoured guests. The concert was held at the Town-In-Town Hotel.


Area General Manager of Siam Bayshore/Bayview Hans H. Spoerri welcomed Miss Annie Brigard, overseas contract manager of Air Travel Group UK and Khun Tim from Siam Express for site inspection and contract signing at the Siam Bayshore Resort.


Students of Chin Ju Technical & Tourism College from Korea with lecturer Mr. Ha Jong Myong (Standing right) during their educational trip at the Ambassador City Jomtien.


Shinawatra Group (SC&C) held a training seminar on supervisory skills for district offices at the Montien Hotel Pattaya.


Kim’ Caula of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort celebrated his Birthday with friends at Sunset Village last week


The Mercure Fun Pub Pattaya, along with Harley Davidson Motorcycles, are Rocking to 60’s and 70’s music nightly. There is also a display of the latest Harley bikes. Pictured with the hotel’s General Manager, John Gardner, is the resident band ‘Midnight Motion’.
