Illegal tranquilizers seized in North Pattaya pharmacy raid

Police raided the Sirisa
Pharmacy on Nernplabwan in East Pattaya, seizing more than 500 illegal
tranquilizers and sexual stimulants.
Boonlua Chatree
Pattaya police raided a North Pattaya pharmacy, seizing more than
500 illegal tranquilizers and sexual stimulants.
Sirisa Neeyadis, the 44-year-old owner of the Sirisa Pharmacy on Nernplabwan
in East Pattaya, was arrested in the Nov. 26 raid.
Searching the store, police found 528 tablets of illegal drugs, including 28
Kamagra erectile-dysfunction pills. The rest of the lot were tranquilizers
and sleeping pills including alprazolam and lorazepam.
Col. Suthat Pumpunmuang said sleeping pills frequently are used by
prostitutes to drug and then rob tourists, creating a bad image for the
city, so police are being vigilant in catching those selling them without a
proper license.
