Nongprue authorities cleaned out storm-drainage pipes to mitigate flooding
during rainy season.
Mayor Mai Chaiyanit ordered workers to clean out pipes on Mab Yai Lia Sois 6-8
and Soi Nernplabwan Aug. 28 following complaints from residents there.
Thongchai Kumlangthai, director of the Nongprue Sanitation Department, led the
crews to vacuum out wastewater and sewage drains, clearing out rocks, trash and
leaves.
Officials urged local residents to stop using public drains as garbage cans,
noting that it only hurts the neighborhood during floods.
